Bonds 12 Days of Christmas

A playful ad that has put a smile on my face today is from Bonds, and is a fun twist on the traditional 12 days of Christmas carol.

With some Aussie humour thrown in –

bonds

Rachael Taylor is “A Partridge in a Pear Tree”, eating out of a can of pears while sitting in a tree, and she has become the focus of the new Bonds campaigns.

In addition there are two cutie pie bubbas as the “Two Turtle Doves”, six pregnant mummas for the “Geese are Laying” and eight men in Bonds underwear drinking iced coffee (?) as the “Eight Maids are Milking”.

Take a look:

Did you see the Pipers Piping – very clever!

The unique Australian voice you hear singing is Jack Ladder, it’s a little rough but it suits the theme and you’ve never heard, or seen, Christmas carols like this before!

Which is your favourite, and do you love Rachael Taylor as our Bond(s) girl or do you miss Sarah Murdoch?

  1. I had heard about this ad but had not seen it till now. Wow, I love it. Some people are so talented thinking up ads and then creating them. At first I thought the guy singing was yuck but watching to the end, it fits the ad quite well. I could watch that ad everytime it comes on tv 🙂
How gorgeous is Rachael Taylor, she sizzles.

  2. I think you will find that it is cleverly worded as “Eight Mates Are Milking.” I personally don’t understand the “4 Calling Birds” as four women on bicycles.
