Myer Autumn / Winter 2011

Myer are are always at the forefront of fashion and their Autumn / Winter 2011 collection features three of the latest trends. There’s Ladylike, Urban Army and Country Club which are all three very different styles so there is something for everyone.

Take a look at the preview of the Myer Autumn / Winter 2011 collection featuring some amazing brands, and of course – Jennifer Hawkins:

Just a quick note, this is an interactive vid so if you move your mouse over the different fashion pieces it will tell you the item name and price:

While we are particularly loving Urban Army, all three trends are wearable and you can mix and match with pieces you already own.

The trends in detail:

Trend 1 – Ladylike Chic

Ladylike Chic is one of the hottest trends on the international catwalks at the moment, think 1950’s Hollywood. Skirts are mid-calf length, voluminous and cinch in at the waist, and look great with pretty cardigans and knits.

All the elegance and the sophistication of the 50s is back this winter with nipped-in waists, demure hemlines with a little lace and driving glove. Feminine silhouettes shine with dresses designed to flaunt and flatter the female figure.

Trend 2 – Urban Army

Urban Army is another key look. It’s an extension of the military theme that we have seen for the last two seasons so expect to see leather aviator jackets and anything and everything with shearling detail including this season’s must have military boots.

Make fashion your secret weapon this season. Resist the elements in double-breasted jackets with brass buttons and military inspired details. Take a modern approach to military chic by accessorising with shearling lines boots and utilitarian style bags.

Trend 3 – Country Club

The Country Club trend embraces a minimalist approach to dressing and is perfect for winter weekends away. Layers of greys, camels, neutrals and blacks in contrasting textures such as chunky wool knits and soft leathers create a sophisticated yet relaxed look.

Head into the great outdoors in country chic pieces like sweet floral dresses, layered vests and relaxed denim. Camel, stone and other muted tines are the order this season with leather, shearling and faux fur the must-have materials.
