If you are tired of rugging up in your dreary winter clothing, you will be excited to take a glimpse at the new Spring / Summer collections from Sass and Fate.
Pretty dresses and bold prints are featured in the range making us want to slap on the fake tan and dive into summer.
The Creative Director of Sass and Fate, Talitha Becker, spoke to us about the latest collections –
“The Sass and Fate 2011/2012 Spring Summer collections were inspired by a number of trends, influences and customer preferences.
On our most recent international trip we saw a growing emphasis on block colors and even ‘head-to-toe’ block colour outfits, but also a revival of the 70’s with floral and Aztec prints.
In terms of bottoms, skirt hemlines are dropping (with maxi’s remaining popular) and pant styles are becoming wider with flared styles still prevalent. These new skirt/pant combinations were complemented with feminine blouses in sheer and flowing fabrics and also clean-cut shirts and tanks.
While white fabrics featured heavily throughout collections from abroad, metallics, in silver, bronze and gold are also still being used to ‘glitz up’ a variety of outfits.
In the Sass and Fate Spring Summer collections I have fused pretty and decorative elements with utility and minimal styles. Feminine ruffles feature alongside fitted, clean-cut tanks, shirts, and tees; and feminine prints feature alongside minimal block colors.
The Sass Spring Summer collection was designed for the fashion savvy girl who wants to be stylish and on-trend but who doesn’t want to spend a fortune on her wardrobe.”
