We have put the word out for fabulously fashionable people to take a photo of themselves and tell us what they are wearing right now. The idea is to give you inspiration and show what real women are wearing on a typical day. The first lovely lady to volunteer was Aprilia Love who writes for the self titled blog: www.aprilialove.com
We asked Aprilia to describe in her own words, what she is wearing, where she got it and why it works:
Tell us about yourself and your personal style:
Hi! My name is Aprilia Love and I am a 23 year old that resides on the northern beaches of Sydney, Australia.
I find that living in Sydney really gives me the opportunity to express myself when it comes to what I wear, as there are so many different areas and occasions that you can dress differently for.
If I am hanging out locally, I am usually in a pair of comfy denim shorts with a tank and a pair of flip-flops – perfect beach attire! If I have a meeting in the CBD, then I will dress up a little more to suit the occasion.
However, my favourite ‘type’ of clothing I like to wear I would say would be a lot of bohemian inspired pieces that include feathers, brass coloured accessories, and long flowy dresses.
I’d like to think that my style is very vast and that I am always open to try new pieces and experiment with other trends.
Tell us where you would wear this outfit and why you think it works for you:
The outfit that I put together was for a meeting that I had in the middle of the week. I thought the trousers and top made a very corporate look, but the leopard print wedges gave it a little fun, summer twist!
Where did the pieces come from?
The top I have on is actually a dress by Loverbird from Market HQ ($35); trousers are from American Apparel ($104), which I happened to love so much that I bought two pairs; the wedges were a gift from Steve Madden; the sunglasses are Stella McCartney that were a gift from OPSM; the rings are from Sportsgirl; and the clutch is from Forever 21.
